Pakistani singer Aatif Aslam announced the death of his father Muhammad Aslam on Tuesday. His father, a 77 -year -old, died of health complications after a heart attack a few months ago.

In a poignant tribute on Instagram, the singer lovingly called his “Iron Man”. Atif can be seen kissing his father on the cheek in the photo. The caption of his post reads, “A final goodbye to My Iron Man. Rest in Love, Abu ji. Keep us in your prayers.

The singer’s post was not visible in India. This was due to a blanket ban on social media accounts of Pakistani artists by the Government of India in view of Pahalgam terrorist attack in April 2025. However, the screenshots of his post were soon broadcast in social media platforms. Many Pakistani personalities and fans shared their condolences online.

The funeral of the singer’s father will be in the city of Valencia in Lahore after ASR prayers.

On the professional front, Atif Aslam has recorded several songs for both Pakistani and Indian films. He started his music career with his first album, ‘Jal Pari’ in the early 2000s. His first song in the Bollywood film was ‘Adat’ in the 2005 film ‘Kalayag’.

After that, the singer sang several popular songs, which gained immense popularity in India. ‘Pehli Naazar Mein’, ‘Piya O Re Piya’, ‘Aa Bhi Ja Sanam’, ‘Tere Bin’, ‘B. Inthehan’, ‘Jeena Jeena’ and ‘O Sati’ are some of her songs which have emerged as chartbasters.

Not just a song, 42 -year -old also tried his hand in acting. ‘Pehli Nazar Meen’ singer made her acting debut with Pakistani actor Mahira Khan in the 2011 Pakistani film Bol. Later, he made his television debut with the Pakistani series ‘Sang-e-Maa’. He also recently appeared in the Pakistani show ‘Tumari Chuf’.
