The five-day fashion Extravaganja gave a glimpse of fashion trends to get the big and mainstream. Take a look at the people you should not remember completely:
Athleisure, but glam
Athleisure is the place where General Z has a heart when it comes to everyday fashion! It is no surprise that designers have tapped into this interest and gave the athlecker a glamorous spin. Designer Namrata Joshipura, a former athlete, really defined the style with her new collection in Lakme Fashion Week 2025. He gave a bold appeal to the sports print, a funky color palette and a sign of sequins to the forecast world.
Menswear gets fun
Fashion’s Menswear Paksha also saw a fun spin – but in a remarkable way. From the onset of Culottes, a playful color palette, and interesting layer – many collections suggested menwear are designed to be more fun.
Label like Falguni Shane Peacock, S&N like Shattonu Nikhil and Abhikik led the trend at Fashion Week.
Corsets are to stay here
India’s passion with corsets is only ready to climb this year – the same Lakme Fashion Week 2025 has been suggested. From ornate numbers to gipers, antique appeals and billing silhouettes-all the corsets caught our eyes in the five-day fashion festival.
Cushion Hands / Medical Hand Candies
Call it a love for the therapeutic side of nostalgia or fashion, but some Klingi colleagues are also getting their moment. For example, the fashion label quarters presented a collection in which toy accessories – even pillows – ARM Candy.
This is not a completely new trend; Toys for better sleep attraction and adult bears are attracted adult attention for some time. But now, it is eventually relevant in the Indian fashion scene as well.
Tradition gets a modern touch
Designers have long been experimenting with the art of modernization of Indian fashion traditional treasures. Over the years, we have seen a contemporary manner on Banarasi, clothes are being used in a variety of silhouettes such as corsets, pantsuits, mini clothes and vascot. Similarly, Bandrani has also been re-designed for a modern appeal, making its way in kavan and co-ord set. But it seems that, designers haven’t been done yet!
The rich history of India’s textiles and crafts became an even bigger trend in a contemporary way this season. For example, Janhvi Kapoor replaced the showstopper for Rahul Mishra’s APU label clad in a humid Bandrani gown. Even Bhumi Pednekar provoked a Banarasi corset, as she used to walk on the ramp for Amit Aggarwal.
Khadi also broke her traditional image and emerged as a stylish superstar!
Advanced basics
It should be a white shirt, a jumpsuit, a pantsuit, or a denim jacket – nothing is now basic about these everyday staples. If you want to increase your style game then select their high versions. Anamika Khanna’s PRT label AK-OK gave a major change to the humble white shirt. Ritvik Khanna of RKIVE did not even present not one-Basic on denim.
So, next time you are shopping for a capsule cupboard, you probably want your basics to come with some chic details.
Cupcake huce
Color very beautiful. They remind you of the delicious cupcake – this is actually a color palette that ruled on the fashion scene, at least for summer. Channel your internal lazy summer girl in Breezy dresses or free-flowing co-ord sets. And yes, this color trend is also very much for men.
Did you see wood fashion?
The LFW was a celebration of the rich heritage of Mohammad Mazhar’s complicated woodcarkings of Mohammad Mazhar for its city Saharanpur with its collection in 2025. The collection presented enough ways to add a touch of Indo-European Wood Craft in someone’s fashion game. Think the cursery handbags, bold blouses and wide belts.
