Asif Ali opens up about having a bedroom and wheelchair-bound during the Tikitaka shoot: ‘Cry like a child …’

Malayalam actor Asif Ali is ready to entertain the audience once again with his new film, titled Titaka. Action -rich film began production in 2023, but an unfortunate incident forced the shoot to stop the midway. Recently, the actor took his social media handle to share a wide note about the harsh journey experienced while working in the film.

In his note, Asif Ali talked about playing John Denver’s character in Titaka. He described Denver as a fighter, which is firm, firm, and never ready to give up. Interestingly, the actor said that his own journey reflected his character’s struggles while working on the film.

The Rakhchathram actor revealed that Tikitaka demanded immense physical efforts. He had to undergo months training and physical changes to fit the role.

“When we began to roll in 2023, an unfortunate accident hit me during a fight training, followed by a bedroom day, several weeks on a wheelchair, and the worst progress I made in a year for the preparation of the character. Unlike John Denver, I cried like a child on the hospital bed.”

Now, about 18 months later, the filming has resumed. Asif Ali is once again giving all this, even while recovering from the tears of Meniscus and Ligament. He said that Titaka would be released by the end of the year and would be described as a high-energy film that is made with great confidence.

He said that while Malayalam cinema is currently concluded, the film aims to give the audience a new type of mass entertainer. Asif Ali, thanked the fans for his support, concluded his note and hoped to continuously encourage cinema lovers.

On the work front, Asif Ali was last seen in the Malayalam Family Drama Circle. The film was released in theaters on 8 May and was shown in a leading role Divya Prabha. Some of his recent notable tasks include Kashkandha Kandam, Rikhchithram, Level Cross and more.
