Legendary singer Asha Bhosle died on Sunday at the age of 92 due to multi organ failure at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai. His last rites will be performed with state honors at Shivaji Park on Monday afternoon.

Bhosle, who ruled Indian music for over seven decades with his versatile and memorable songs, was a legendary figure in the Indian music industry. After his death, his mortal remains were brought to his residence in Lower Parel.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis visited Bhosale’s house on Sunday evening to pay tribute to him and pay floral tributes. State Cultural Affairs Minister Ashish Shelar, MLAs Sunil Shinde and Prasad Lad also paid tribute to the late singer.

Shelar Confirmed that there will be a state funeral Tributes will be paid for Asha Bhosle on April 13 at 4 pm. The singer’s family has arranged for people to pay their last respects at 11 am on Monday at Casa Grande in Lower Parel, where she lived.

While giving information about the final preparations to the journalists, his son Anand Bhosale said that the last rites will be performed at Shivaji Park at 4 pm on Monday. Fans and well-wishers will get the opportunity to bid farewell to the music icon at the beginning of the day.

Asha Bhosle was widely known as Asha Tai and was honored with prestigious awards including the Padma Vibhushan (India’s second highest civilian award) and Maharashtra Bhushan for her contribution to Indian music.

His death marks the end of an era in Hindi music, where his voice left an indelible mark on generations.
