Arshad Warsi on his kids joining Bollywood: Why would anyone bet on my son?
Arshad Warsi opens up about his children’s acting ambitions and says nepotism doesn’t guarantee success in Bollywood. He said he would not use his contacts to help them, saying, “No one can help anyone here – you have to make your own way.”

Actor Arshad Warsi shared his views on the ongoing debate on nepotism, saying that coming from a film family does not make things easy in Bollywood. Speaking about his children’s acting dreams, the ‘Munna Bhai MBBS’ actor revealed that both his son and daughter aspire to become actors, but he stressed that success in the industry is no longer determined by connections.
in an interview with The Times of IndiaArshad said, “Yes, both my son and daughter want to act. My son is currently assisting Siddharth Anand and has assisted Raju Hirani. Of course, I am scared – it is a tough job today. Acting is not an easy profession anymore as the success rate is very low. Out of 150 crores, a handful become actors.”
When asked if he would use his influence to help her get film opportunities, Arshad rejected the idea. He said, “No one can help anyone here – you have to make your own way. I can’t call up a director and ask him to invest hundreds of crores on my children. Why would anyone impose power on my son? Even a casual call to a filmmaker to meet my children means expecting that he will cast them in his project, which I will not do.”
The actor further revealed that his 21-year-old son Zeke is working as an assistant director, while his 18-year-old daughter Zoe is still studying but hopes to pursue acting someday. Despite his ambitions, Arshad says he had to make his own way in the industry without any special treatment.
Arshad was last seen in Aryan Khan’s web series ‘The Ba**ads of Bollywood’, where his brief role as a crime lord won praise. She is now gearing up for two big screen releases – ‘Jolly LLB 3’ and ‘Bhagwat Chapter One: Rakshas’ – both scheduled to release later this year.
