Arms Director Zach Kregar revealed why Pedro Pascal was replaced by Josh Brolin in the upcoming thriller

Zach is ready to hit the upcoming horror-thriller, weapon, soon to hit the big screen. Next to the film’s premiere, director Zach Kregar shared that Pedro Pascal was the first option to play the lead character. However, due to his busy schedule, the actor was replaced by Josh Brolin.

For the film, weapons revolve around a mysterious event, where all the children in the community start disappearing the same night, making their parents worried and nervous.

In a conversation with Entertainment Weekly, the director of the upcoming thriller film revealed that the original actors included Pedro Pascal, Brian Tyre Henry and Austin Abram.

However, due to Hollywood strike and schedule clash, members of new artists were to be brought. Kregar said, “I had a completely separate artist for this film. And then we had a strike, and then the schedule of Pedro Pascal threw us into the upheaval. I had to resume the entire film.”

The filmmaker said, “Strike delayed us, and then when you delay, people’s schedule gets conflict, and then you come back to a class. I will not make anyone sick in any way. We just keep delayed and delayed. It is like a domino effect. So I had to start again.”

Somewhere else in the conversation, the filmmaker shared that Pascal excluded the film due to schedule conflicts, giving Brolin a way, who stepped into the character’s shoes.

Meanwhile, the last American actor filmed for the film, it will be his fourth film of the year.

Weapons will hit theaters on August 8.
