Arjun Kapoor, Jackky Bhagnani injured when ceiling collapses on the set of Mere Husband Ki Biwi
Arjun Kapoor and producer Jackky Bhagnani got injured when the roof collapsed on the shooting set of Mere Husband Ki Biwi.

Arjun Kapoor, producer Jackky Bhagnani and director Mudassar Aziz were injured on the sets of the upcoming film Mere Husband Ki Biwi. This incident took place on January 18 when the roof of the set collapsed.
Speaking to Hindustan Times after the incident, Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) president BN Tiwari assured that there were no major deaths.
“There is no major injury. Anything could have happened, but thankfully no one was hurt. Shooting has been stopped at the place where shooting was taking place. (Anything could have happened, but thankfully no one got seriously injured. The shooting has been stopped where it was happening). Due to lack of maintenance the roof of the studio collapsed and anything can happen there. Therefore, this step was taken due to security reasons,” he said.
Tiwari also said that the federation is working towards implementing long-term changes. “We have sent a letter to the Prime Minister in Delhi as well as the Chief Minister of Maharashtra regarding the health and safety of workers in the industry. We have also written to Film City that the foundation is so old that it can collapse any day. Therefore, a structural audit needs to be conducted. There are no exit doors for fire safety in case of an accident. The entire film industry is running with the help of God. But for how long will God also wait? (We are walking with the support of God, but for how long God will continue to wait),” he further said.
When asked about preventive measures to avoid such incidents in future, Tiwari held the art director responsible for taking care of such arrangements.
“It’s the art director’s responsibility, but more so than the studio owner’s. But they just build a studio and keep taking bookings without maintaining it. If the government does not take action then the shooting of the film will be moved out of Mumbai. Today, 80 percent of the shoots are happening outside the city because single-window visits are not allowed unless you are in the studio. Other states except Maharashtra provide it,” he said.
Amidst his injury, Arjun was also seen visiting Saif Ali Khan in the hospital on January 19.
Mere Husband Ki Biwi is ready to release in theaters On 21 February 2025.
