Marking this milestone on Instagram, Arjun shared sketches inspired by some of his memorable scenes from the film and explained how his character Parma holds a special place in his journey as an actor.
Sharing the post, Arjun wrote, “14 years later, Parma still feels like the beginning of everything. #Ishaqzaade was the beginning of my journey as an actor, in cinema and with you all… and it continues.” The actor’s note immediately garnered reactions from fans and industry colleagues, many of whom hailed his successful performance in the romantic action drama.

What did Arjun Kapoor say about Ishaqzaade?
Arjun described this film as the foundation of his career in cinema and credited the character of Parma for making his mark as an actor. The post featured artistic sketches based on scenes from the film, evoking memories of her debut role, which introduced her to audiences in 2012.
Directed by Habib Faisal and produced by Aditya Chopra under the banner of Yash Raj Films, Ishaqzaade became one of the notable launches of that year.
What was Ishaqzaade about?
Set in the fictional city of Almore in Uttar Pradesh, the film is based on the turbulent love story of Parma Chauhan and Zoya Qureshi, played by Parineeti Chopra. Both characters belonged to rival political families, and their relationship challenged the deep religious and social divisions in their community.
Apart from Arjun and Parineeti, Gauhar Khan, Natasha Rastogi, Anil Rastogi and Shashank Khaitan were also in supporting roles in the film. The film was an official remake of the Bengali drama dujon.
