Actor Arjun Kapoor recently opened up about his relationship with step-sisters Janhvi and Khushi Kapoor, saying that their relationship goes beyond the usual “protective brother”. Admitting that they came together during “unfortunate” circumstances, he shared that any important moment of his life now feels “incomplete” without Janhvi and Khushi.

Janhvi and Khushi are the daughters of producer Boney Kapoor and late actor Sridevi, who died in 2018. Boney’s children Arjun and his sister Anshula from his first wife Mona Shourie stood by Janhvi and Khushi during the challenging times after Sridevi’s death.

In a recent interview with Galata IndiaJanhvi sent a heartfelt audio message praising Arjun’s resilience. “I have watched him wait for the last two years. Everyone knows that it has not been an easy journey for him. I know it has been difficult and I know she has always acted bravely. But I know there are days when it’s very difficult to stay hopeful and keep moving forward and fight against all the odds,” she said. Expressing pride in her courage, she said, “I’m very proud of her for that courage.”

During the interview, Arjun talked about how his sisters have been a solid support system. “They’ve both been really steadfast behind me, and I know it feels like I’m the brother taking care of them and all that stuff. This is not always the case. There are moments when you are also insecure,” he said.

Arjun revealed that being close in age, Janhvi has seen his weakest moments. He elaborated on the challenges of dealing with negativity in the film industry, saying, “You question life, you question choices… There’s only so much you can take and gracefully, I mean. “Without the desire to hold back and say things back, sometimes to faceless people. He’s seen that side, he’s felt it.”

Reflecting on their dynamic, he said, “It’s better to have Janhvi and Khushi in my life. I love them very much. I care about them very much and I’m very happy they’re doing well. I am happy to say that they are very well brought up children.

Arjun, who is currently receiving praise for his role in Singham Again, shared that Khushi watched the film without him asking, which made him realize how much she “cares enough” about him.
