The new iPad mini is speculated to arrive later this year with major upgrades over its previous model. Apple will fix this big problem in the iPad Mini

According to the report, the biggest upgrade for the iPad mini will be its display. Apple faced a lot of criticism with the current-generation iPad mini for a phenomenon called “jelly scrolling,” where one half of the screen refreshes slower than the other, causing a noticeable wobble effect. The issue even led to a class action lawsuit claiming the issue rendered the device “unusable.”

To solve this problem, Apple is said to improve the iPad mini display and fix the jelly scrolling issue. However, when Apple fixes this issue, we will still see the same LCD technology and 60Hz refresh rate. This upgrade may disappoint some users who have been waiting to see OLED or higher refresh rates. Still, fixing the jelly scrolling issue is important considering the problems faced by users. As for the OLED display, Apple is expected to bring it to the iPad mini in the next few years.

The performance of the iPad mini will improve

Since we are seeing a new iPad mini after years, Apple is expected to give the new generation machine a significant performance boost with the A17 chip. Currently, Apple offers the A15 Bionic chip in its 2021 iPad mini.

Additionally, Apple is expected to offer the iPad mini with support for Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3, giving users faster and more reliable connectivity options.

Apart from the display and performance improvements, the new iPad mini is expected to come in several new colours, adding a new aesthetic appeal to its already attractive design.
