Apple has introduced the iPhone Pocket, a limited edition $230 accessory that resembles a sock-like bag, created in collaboration with Japanese designer Issey Miyake, offering a new way to carry your iPhone.
Apple has created a new way for you to carry your iPhone in a special pocket-sized bag. The tech giant has partnered with renowned Japanese designer Issey Miyake to launch the iPhone Pocket, a pocket-sized bag specifically designed to carry the iPhone and other everyday essentials. This limited-edition accessory is made with 3D-knit construction. It is available in two versions: a short strap design priced at $149.95 and a long strap design priced at $229.95 in the US.
iPhone Pocket Variant
According to Apple, the iPhone Pocket takes inspiration from “a piece of cloth” with a fairly simple design. This accessory reinterprets the everyday pocket through the lens of Issey Miyake’s iconic pleated fashion. The product was developed in close collaboration between Apple Design Studio and Miyake Design Studio, incorporating insights from both teams into its final form.
The shorter strap iPhone Pocket can be carried on the wrist or attached to a bag, while the longer strap allows for cross-body wear. Both variants have a ribbed open structure.
The accessory is available in multiple color options, featuring a short strap design in lemon, mandarin, purple, pink, peacock, sapphire, cinnamon and black. The long strap design lacks vibrant colors and comes in sapphire, cinnamon and black.
Apple emphasizes that the iPhone Pocket can store more than just your iPhone. According to the company, you can also carry your AirPods or small “everyday items.”
iPhone Pocket Launch
The iPhone Pocket is set for release on November 14 and will be sold through select Apple retail stores and online in several countries, including the US, UK, France, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Greater China. The iPhone Pocket comes after the company launched a crossbody strap earlier this year. It seems like Apple is trying to give users more flexibility in where they carry their devices.
The iPhone Pocket is also a limited-time product, and buyers may need to purchase one for themselves before the stock runs out.
Will iPhone Pocket launch in India?
Apple has not commented on potentially launching the iPhone Pocket in India. It appears that the company has planned a limited release, and it is unlikely that this accessory will be coming to us any time soon.
