Kangana Ranaut’s Emergency, which went into many controversies, premiered on Netflix last week. A fan watching the film suggested that the film should be sent to Oscar from India. However, the actor-director rejected the Oscar suggestion outright, calling the award ‘silly’. He further proud that India had a national award and it was enough for him.

While the emergency is receiving polarization reactions from all quarters after its Netflix release, Kangana is sharing all positive reviews on her official X and Instagram pages.

A fan, who was fully influenced by the Emergency, wrote on X, “#Memergencyonnetflix should go from India to Oscar. Kangana, what is a film. Explaining the message on her Instagram stories again, she wrote,” But America would not want to accept its real face, how they threaten, press, and the arm twist nation. It is exposed in #EMERGENCY. They can keep their silly Oscars. We have the National Award (SIC). ,

Directed and produced by Kangana Ranaut, the film chronic emergency months in India and how people went through it. He played the role of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in the film, while Anupam Kher, Shreyas Talpade, Vishak Nair, Milind Soman and later actor Satish Kaushik in decisive roles. The Central Bureau of Film Certification (CBFC) delayed the film after withdrawing certification for several months, finally before giving a U/A certificate with some cuts.
