Director Anurag Kashyap recently underpared for the music of his films, “Dave D ‘(2009) and’ Gangs of Vasipur ‘(2012). He convicted Bhushan Kumar’s T-series for reducing quality.

The director further said, “They paid very little for ‘Dev D’, ‘Gangs of Wasipur’ or ‘Gulal’. They only pay for who is the star in it. They do not pay for the quality of music (SIC).”

“He did not give anything for ‘Dev D’ music. Ask the producers, UTV Studios … They don’t understand what good music is. They will only pay for a certain type of music and push it only for him,” Kashyap went away.

He said, “The most money he has paid for any of my films is ‘Bombay Velvet’ (2015). It was very good as music, but it used to work at least for him. Because no one wanted to listen to Jazz. He paid the highest price for it and not ‘Dev D’ or ‘Gangs of Jasipur’,” he said.

Bhushan Kumar or T-series have not yet responded to the statement of the director of ‘Gangs of Wasipur’.

‘Bombay Velvet’ featured Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Karan Johar in the lead roles. Even though the film was reduced at the box office, Amit Trivedi’s music score was appreciated. The film was produced by Phantom films.

Kashyap recently announced his upcoming crime drama ‘Nishchi’, which is at the beginning of Aishwari Thackeray’s performance. The film is scheduled to release on September 19, 2025.

‘Nishchi’ has been produced by Ajay Rai and Ranjan Singh under the Jar Pictures, along with Flip Films, and will be distributed by Amazon MGM Studio.
