Bollywood veteran Anupam Kher marked the birthday of Hollywood veteran Robert De Niro on August 17 with a warm tribute, not only celebrated the actor’s huge career, but also his permanent friendship.
Sharing a series of indifferent photos on Instagram – with moments of the New York Indian Film Festival – wrote, “Happy Birthday, the most beloved Mr. Robert de Niro. May God give you all happiness in the world.
He said, “The easiest expression to use in your case is that you are the god of acting in the best sense. I feel honored, humble and privileged to learn you as a friend. You can have a long and healthy life. Love and prayer always (SIC).”

The bond between the two actors began with his cooperation in the Oscar-nominated film ‘Silver Lineings Playbook’ (2012).
Since then, Kher has often referred to De Nero as the “God of Acting”, a feeling lies in his drama school days when he studied Hollywood star performance in classics such as ‘The Godfather’, ‘Rising Bull’ and ‘Falling in Love’. For Kher, D Nero remains a “institution” and a global legend, often compared to India’s own Dilip Kumar.
