Anmol Bishnoi, jailed in Salman Khan firing case, wants to surrender in court.
Anmol Bishnoi, brother of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, has moved a special MCOCA court in Mumbai seeking permission to surrender in the Salman Khan House firing case and said he wants to voluntarily join the judicial proceedings “in the interest of fair trial and justice”.

Anmol Bishnoi, younger brother of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and wanted in the April 2024 shootout outside Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s residence, has sought permission from a special Maharashtra Control of Organized Crime Act (MCOCA) court in Mumbai to formally surrender in the case.
In his application, Anmol said he wants to voluntarily surrender before the Mumbai court “to face the ongoing trial and participate in the judicial proceedings in the interest of fair trial and justice”.

Anmol Bishnoi is currently lodged in New Delhi’s Tihar Jail after being extradited to India from the United States in November 2025. Following his arrival, he was arrested by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in a case related to the alleged terrorist-gangster nexus linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi syndicate.
On Thursday, Special Judge SR Navender directed the government lawyer to file a reply to Anmol’s plea. The application said that though Anmol is already in judicial custody in the NIA case, he cannot appear before the Mumbai court without proper judicial directions.
Hence he has demanded Tihar Jail authorities to issue production warrant so that his surrender can be formally recorded and the remand proceedings can be conducted through physical or virtual mode.
The petition argues that allowing surrender will not adversely affect the prosecution and will instead help in expediting the trial along with preventing unnecessary delays in the legal process.
It also said that the hearing in the Salman Khan house shooting case is already going on and the statements of three prosecution witnesses have been recorded in Anmol’s absence.
The case pertains to the shooting outside Salman Khan’s Galaxy Apartment residence in Mumbai’s Bandra area on April 14, 2024, when two motorcycle-riding assailants allegedly opened fire before fleeing from the scene. Mumbai Police later invoked MCOCA and alleged that the attack was carried out by the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
Currently, the trial is going on against co-accused Vicky Gupta, Sagar Pal, Sonukumar Bishnoi, Mohammad Rafiq Chaudhary and Harpal Singh, all of whom are in judicial custody. Another accused Anuj Kumar Thapan died in police custody.
Both Lawrence Bishnoi and Anmol Bishnoi have been named as wanted accused in the case.
