Actress Angelina Jolie is remembering her mastectomy in 2013. The 50-year-old actress has managed to take precautions after her mother passed away in 2007. Speaking to French Inter, the star opened up about how she loves the scars she has from double surgery a decade ago. He shared that he is very interested in people who have scars on their bodies and the life that is inside them.

She had a double mastectomy in 2013 after she discovered she had the BRCA1 gene (breast cancer gene 1). The actress decided to do so considering it to be the best decision for her. "I’m not attracted to some ideal idea of a life that has no blemishes. So no, I think, hey, you know, I see that my wounds are a choice that I’ve made to do what I can to be here with my kids as long as I can," the actress shared.
Saying she loves her scars, Angelina Jolie said it gave her the opportunity to actively ‘do something’ about her health. This becomes especially important for those who lost their mother in childhood and are now raising their children without the presence of their grandmother.
Saying that ‘this is life’, he shared that it is important for people to have scars. “If you get to the end of your life and you haven’t done any great things (you know), you haven’t made any mistakes, you haven’t made any messes, you haven’t got any stains on you, you haven’t lived enough.”
He previously reported that the chance of developing breast cancer had dropped from 87 percent to 5 percent. The actress has also had her ovaries and fallopian tubes removed to reduce the chances of ovarian cancer.
The actress has six children with her ex-husband Brad Pitt, namely Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh and twins Knox and Vivienne.
