Andaz Apna Apna, which completed 30 years of its release on November 4, 2024, is one of the most iconic comedy films of all time. Directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, the film has achieved cult classic status over the years. It starred Salman Khan and Aamir Khan in the lead roles. According to the latest report, Salman, Aamir, Karisma Kapoor and Raveena Tandon’s film Andaz Apna Apna will be re-released in 2025. The 1994 film has reportedly been restored in 4K.
According to a report in Bollywood Hungama, the makers of Andaz Apna Apna are planning to re-release the Salman Khan and Aamir Khan starrer next year.
Producer Vinay Kumar Sinha’s daughter Preeti Sinha confirmed the re-release of the film directed by Rajkumar Santoshi. When asked if the makers could schedule it around the completion of 30 years of its release, he told that the celebrations will continue throughout the year.
Elaborating on the new development of Andaz Apna Apna, Preity told the portal that the makers have “digitally restored and picture-remastered the film in 4K”. He said that the team wanted the film to look “new and great” before its re-release in theatres.
Sinha said that the makers will finalize the release date of Andaz Apna Apna in the next few months.
Earlier in an exclusive podcast with Pinkvilla, Tikku Talsania was asked to comment on the news of the stars not getting along on the sets of Andaz Apna Apna. For those unaware, he was cast as a cop in the 1994 film.
“That never happens; All this is rubbish. Everyone gets along with everyone else because everyone wants their work to shine. So if I’m against you or… you’re not able to deliver the line I want,” Talsania told us.
In Andaz Apna Apna, Aamir Khan played the lead role of Amar and Salman Khan was cast as the second lead character Prem. Raveena was paired with Aamir. Karisma played the role of Salman’s on-screen girlfriend. The film also featured Shakti Kapoor, Paresh Rawal, Viju Khote, Mehmood, Jagdeep, Deven Verma and others.
Shakti played the iconic character crime master Gogo. Paresh was cast in dual roles, Ram Gopal Bajaj and Shyam Gopal Bajaj, alias Teja.
