Do you remember actor Siddhant Chaturvedi’s viral comment on nepotism that he made on Ananya Panday during a conversation? Well, Ananya has brought that comment back with a funny twist in the latest trailer of her upcoming show, Call Me Bae.

Towards the end of the trailer, when Ananya complains about the struggles she is facing, a security guard is seen repeating Siddhant’s comment about how people with no connections struggle to get their foot inside the door.

The internet found the whole thing hilarious and the buzz grew rapidly on social media, with even Siddhant Chaturvedi reacting to the series’ promo. Siddhant wished Ananya on his social media handle and said that he “loved the last part” of the trailer.

The comment was first made by Siddhant during the 2019 Newcomers Roundtable, hosted by journalist Rajeev Masand. During a discussion on nepotism, Ananya, daughter of actor Chunky Panday, mentioned how it isn’t ‘easy’ for star kids, “I always wanted to be an actor. It’s been my dream as well, and I think, just because my father is an actor, I’m not going to refuse an opportunity to act, you know. My father has never been in a Dharma film. He’s never been on Koffee With Karan. So, you know, it’s not as easy as everyone says. Everyone has their own journey.”

Then Siddhant interrupted and said, “Everyone’s struggle is different. The difference is that where our dreams are fulfilled, their struggle begins there (Everyone has their own struggle. The difference is that when our dreams are fulfilled, their struggle begins)

Siddhant and Ananya are friends and have previously worked together in the film Kho Gaye Hum Kahan, which released on Netflix.
