Many times, the veteran actor has opened up about his food habits and favourite childhood dish on the stage of Kaun Banega Crorepati. When it comes to his daily diet, the Bollywood actor revealed his morning routine in one of his blog posts.

A look at Amitabh Bachchan’s diet plan

In his blog, the OG don of the industry revealed that after waking up in the morning, he eats a few basil leaves. Apart from this, he also takes protein shake, almonds and sometimes porridge or coconut water. Amitabh Bachchan usually includes amla juice and dates in his breakfast.

The 81-year-old Bachchan also revealed that he has given up eating non-vegetarian food and sweet dishes. “In my youth I used to eat food, but now I have given up eating non-vegetarian dishes, sweets, rice and I will not talk about it anymore,” the veteran actor said. Bachchan also revealed that Jaya Bachchan’s favourite dish is fish.

Well, since the Badla actor abstains from sweets, he reduces his added sugar intake, which is a crucial step in reducing the risk of obesity. Amitabh Bachchan follows a balanced diet and relies on leafy vegetables and fresh fruits. Apart from this, the Pink actor avoids junk food. Talking about his lunch, he eats a proper Indian meal: dal, sabzi and chapati.

Apart from this, staying hydrated is very important for the actor’s health. He recommends drinking plenty of water throughout the day. This is one of the best things to do to improve overall health. Keeping your body hydrated not only improves the detoxification process but also keeps the body temperature under control.

Nevertheless, Amitabh Bachchan and his fondness for chaat is known to all his fans. During an episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 12, Padma Shri awardee Amitabh Bachchan revealed his immense love for chaat. The Shahenshah of Bollywood recalled how he used to visit the markets of Delhi and enjoy a variety of chaats.

Amitabh Bachchan’s workout routine

It is really impressive to have a fit body even in your 80s! Amitabh Bachchan’s energy often amazes his fans, and his strong performances in films are proof of his dedication to exercise. As far as his workout plan is concerned, sometimes the actor practices yoga, especially pranayama.

Although he remains very busy with acting, Big B makes sure that some physical activities are a part of his regular workout routine. This routine includes a variety of exercises, including light strength and weight training, jogging, and walking. This way, the National Award winner stays fit and maintains his overall health.

Apart from focusing on physical health, Amitabh Bachchan has also been vocal about having a positive attitude and mental health. He insists on getting a good sleep of at least 8 hours to ensure that his body gets enough rest to recover from fatigue and restore his energy levels.

3. Reduce or eliminate sugar intake: By not eating sweets and desserts, the actor has reduced his sugar intake. So, if you are looking for a way to fight obesity, this is one of the tips you can rely on.

When Amitabh Bachchan was diagnosed with TB

In 2020, 81-year-old Amitabh was diagnosed with TB. Sadly, he was unaware that he was suffering from the disease for eight years. He said that 75% of his liver was affected and diagnosed himself as suffering from TB and Hepatitis B. The actor underwent a long treatment to recover from the disease. Amitabh urged people to get regular checkups so that they can detect the disease on time.

For those who don’t know, Amitabh Bachchan was last seen in Kalki 2898 AD. His acting and action sequences impressed his fans. Talking about his work, he will be seen sharing screen space with Rajinikanth and Fahadh Faasil in the upcoming film Vettaiyaan.
