A Mumbai resident’s Instagram video captures Amitabh Bachchan’s Sunday greeting ritual outside his Juhu home, leading to a memorable personal encounter with the actor at his residence Jalsa.
Nirmit Jesrani, who lives in the neighbourhood, had shared a behind-the-scenes clip, highlighting the huge crowd that gathers outside Bachchan’s bungalow every Sunday. In the video, Jesrani also talked about the actor’s humility and the importance of the long-standing tradition in which Bachchan comes out to greet fans every week. The video quickly went viral on social media.
After the clip gained online traction, Jesarani received a message from Bachchan’s team, inviting her for a meeting at Jalsa on Monday, February 9, 2026. The appointment was scheduled for 5 pm.
Jesrani later shared photos of the meeting on social media, including a photo with the actor and the autograph she received. Expressing his excitement, he wrote that the experience was unforgettable and he spent the whole day thinking about the meeting.
Recalling the conversation, Jesarani said that Bachchan greeted fans during the Sunday darshan before meeting her. He said that when he tried to touch the actor’s feet, Bachchan stopped him and asked him not to do so. Jesarani described the actor as polite and kind, noting that Bachchan posed for photographs with ease.
