Recently, in a video that surfaced on social media, Vijay and Trisha Krishnan were seen together for the first time after the news of divorce went viral. Both were produced by Bigil and The Greatest of All Time (The Goat) producer Kalpana S. Seen at Suresh’s son’s wedding reception.
The actor adopted a traditional golden veshti-and-shirt look, while Trisha was seen in a similar colored saree.

Thalapathy Vijay is currently facing divorce proceedings from his wife Sangeetha Sornalingam. The couple, who have been married for almost 27 years, are reportedly separating after their relationship took a turn for the worse.
According to reports, Sangeeta had filed for divorce accusing the actor of being involved in an extramarital affair with an actress. They reportedly found out about the relationship in 2021, after which the actor initially agreed to end it.
However, the actor’s wife later claimed that he abandoned her and their children, causing her mental and emotional distress.
According to recent speculations, the superstar may settle the divorce by paying an alimony of Rs 250 crore. However, no official confirmation has been made regarding the matter.
Moreover, there have already been rumors that Vijay and Trisha Krishnan have been seeing each other for a while now, the latest video has further fueled the speculations.
Thalapathy Vijay’s work front
Thalapathy is expected to be seen in the lead role in Jana Nayagan directed by H. Vinoth. The action drama tells the story of Thalapathy Vetri Kondan, a former police officer and ex-convict, who lives with his foster daughter Viji and hopes to raise her into a strong and independent woman.
As forces from his past and present resurface, the story revolves around how he trains his daughter to face these challenges.
The film stars Pooja Hegde and Bobby Deol in co-lead roles, while Mamita Baiju, Priyamani, Gautham Vasudev Menon and Prakash Raj play lead roles.
Initially, the film was scheduled to release on January 9, 2026. However, it did not receive a censor certificate at that time, so the film is still awaiting its theatrical release.
