She said filmmakers are often reluctant to hear the female perspective and don’t always realize how certain scenes come across to audiences.

According to him, filmmaking is a collaborative process and actors can contribute by offering perspectives that may not have been considered during the writing stage.

“You can bring light into the scene and say, ‘It looks like this’. Maybe they don’t want to objectify because nobody wants to make a film where they’re like, ‘Let’s objectify’. What I’ve seen is that they don’t think that way,” Ranaut told. PTI.

The actor said that female actors can help creators understand how audiences might experience certain scenes.

“So as a woman, you can share your perspective and say, ‘Yes, this is what it feels like or this doesn’t feel good.’
