AMD has refreshed older products at Computex 2026 with the 5800X3D, 7700X3D, and RX 9070 GRE.

AMD announced three products today at Computex 2026. One of these is a re-released 4 year old CPU, another is a scaled down version of a 3 year old CPU, and the third is a one year old graphics card. In case you were wondering how the home PC gaming industry is doing currently.

The first is the Ryzen 7 5800X3D, which was discontinued in 2024 after a two-year run. It was AMD’s first CPU to include the company’s 3D V-Cache technology. Now it is being brought back, as it is based on the AM4 platform which can still be run on DDR4 memory. Speaking of AM4, the platform is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, and the re-released 5800X3D will have an Anniversary Edition badge on its packaging. It also includes a Carbis Ice Pad, which is a thermal pad that replaces the typical thermal compound. All this for $349, which is about $100 less than the 5800X3D launch price, although the CPU was often sold at a much lower price when it was on sale. It will be on sale again on June 25.

The company also launched Ryzen 7 7700X3D. It’s a scaled-back version of the popular 7800X3D from 2023, but now runs at a 4.5GHz boost clock instead of 5GHz and a 4GHz base clock instead of 4.2GHz. Rest of the specifications are same. The price of 7700X3D is $329, which may seem lower than the price of 5800X3D. However, the 7700X3D is based on the AM5 platform, which mandates DDR5 memory, so be prepared to mortgage your house unless you already have a pair of sticks. Its sale will start from July 16. The company reiterated its commitment towards the AM5 platform and said that it will now be supported till 2029.

Finally, the sole graphics card is the Radeon RX 9070 GRE. GRE, or Golden Rabbit editions, are China-exclusive cards that eventually go on sale elsewhere. The RX 9070 GRE was launched in China last year but is now available for sale globally. Compared to the standard 9070, the 9070 GRE has eight fewer compute units at 48 but about 200 MHz higher clock speed at 2220 MHz. It comes with 12GB of GDDR6 memory with a 192-bit memory interface and 18Gbps bandwidth. AMD claims that the 9070 Gray delivers an average of 21% faster performance than the RTX 5060 Ti 16GB. It’s priced at $549 and will go on sale June 2.
