Amazon US kicks off Black Friday week

Today, Amazon US is kicking off Black Friday week, which runs from today until November 29 (Friday next week). You can take advantage of these deals even without being a Prime customer. The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra costs less than $1,000 if you get the 256GB variant. The 512GB model is a $120 upgrade.

Challenging the S24 Ultra for camera dominance is the Google Pixel 9 Pro XL, which also costs less than $1,000. However, it comes with more RAM (16GB vs 12GB) but less storage (128GB). Check out our head-to-head comparison for more details.

If you want a smaller phone, the Google Pixel 9 Pro has the same camera as the Pro XL. The 6.3” display keeps this model relatively compact.

Among the cheaper offerings, the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE is under $500 for the base 8/128GB model. Note that you can get the Galaxy Buds FE for $50 if you purchase them along with the S24 FE. However, the buds alone are around $60 right now, so the last part is optional.

The new FE has grown larger with a 6.7” display. Again, Google offers a smaller option with the 6.3” Pixel 9. It doesn’t have a dedicated tele camera, but its main is similar to the Pros with a 1/1.3” sensor and the ultra-wide has a 48MP sensor.

We move on to foldables with the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6, which has a cool $580 discount for the 12/256GB model.

The comparable Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold is more expensive – $1,500 for the 16/256GB model.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE, a 10.9” tablet with the Exynos 1380 chipset, is 42% off on the base model with 128GB of storage. You can expand it with a microSD, but note that it only has 6GB of RAM (the 256GB variant has 8GB of RAM).

This time there is a 33% discount on the larger Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE+ with a 12.4” display (both 90Hz IPS LCD). It has 8GB RAM with all storage configurations.

Last week, we took a look at some Apple computer deals, now with some Mac prices even lower. You can buy a 13” Apple MacBook Air with an M3 chip and 16GB of RAM for less than $900. The 15” version is $200 more.

There are also ARM-powered Windows laptops, like the Samsung Galaxy Book4 Edge. This variant is powered by Snapdragon X Elite (8-core CPU). So, not a top Qualcomm chip, but it’s a 15.6” laptop for $700 (with more storage than the MacBook, but it’s soldered EUFS, so neither are upgradeable).

Finally, some Samsung smartwatches. The Samsung Galaxy Watch6 is a 2023 model and costs around $150, depending on whether you want the 40mm or 44mm version. The Watch FE is priced around the same, but the Watch6 is the better model with a new chipset and things like blood pressure measurement.

If you’re a fan of hardware rotating bezels you can also pick up a Galaxy Watch6 Classic for $100 more. This is something that the 2024 watches do not have.

Speaking of which, the Samsung Galaxy Watch7 is actually cheaper than the Classic and has a 5nm chipset versus the state-of-the-art 3nm chipset on the Watch6.

There’s also the robust Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra – it comes in only one configuration, 47mm with LTE connectivity.
