Amaran Box Office Day 17: Sivakarthikeyan’s film picks up pace as Kanguva slows down
Amraan continues to perform well at the box office in its third weekend. It is expected that this biographical film on Sivakarthikeyan will soon touch the Rs 200 crore mark in India.

Amraan entered its third weekend on Friday and continues to register impressive performances at the box office. The film’s progress in the third weekend was also hampered by the negative reviews Kanguva received, which ultimately worked in Amaran’s favor at the ticket window.
After earning Rs 57.25 crore in its second week, the Sivakarthikeyan film is expecting a business of Rs 15-20 crore in the third weekend in India, taking its 17-day collection close to Rs 200 crore.
The biographical drama based on the life of Major Mukund Varadarajan earned Rs 6 crore on its third Saturday. As per trade website reports, Amraan has currently earned Rs 181.70 crore in India after 17 days at the box office. Sacnilk,

- Week 2: Rs 57.25 crore
- Friday: Rs 3.6 crore
- Saturday: Rs 6 crore
- Total: Rs 181.70 crore
Of this Rs 181.70 crore, about Rs 143 crore came from Tamil Nadu alone. The audience’s love for Amaran is also visible in his home state. In the absence of any other releases, it is the only film to benefit from Kangwa’s slow run at the box office.
The film, directed by Rajkumar Periyasamy, is expected to reach the Rs 200 crore benchmark before ending its lifespan in India. With no other film challenging its smooth performance in the near future, it will be interesting to see how far Amaran can go.
