Parineeti Chopra impressed the audience with her performance in the film Amar Singh Chamkila in early 2024. She played the role of Amarjot Kaur in the biographical drama directed by Imtiaz Ali and co-starring Diljit Dosanjh. Parineeti recently went down memory lane and asked Diljit and Imtiaz if they could reshoot the film.
On September 30, 2024, Parineeti Chopra shared a post on her Instagram Stories with old footage of real-life Amar Singh Chamkila and Amarjot Kaur singing the song Pehle Laalkare live. Responding to this, Parineeti wrote, “Uff (two pink heart emojis).”
Tagging her co-star Diljit Dosanjh and director Imtiaz Ali, the actress asked, “Can we reshoot the film?”
Imtiaz reshared Parineeti’s post and used laughing emojis to show his amusement.

The film Amar Singh Chamkila was released on Netflix on April 12, 2024. Ahead of the film’s release, Parineeti shared a heartfelt note on her Instagram praising the team’s work. “I am extremely grateful to Chamkila,” he said.
Showering love on Imtiaz Ali, Diljit Dosanjh and AR Rahman, Parineeti further said, “@imtiazaliofficial sir, your direction was unique; You indeed led the ship very ably. Your vision and passion set a new standard. @DiljitDosanjh, you were the perfect co-star who made every moment on the set enjoyable and effortless. @Arrahman sir, it is a dream to have music directed by you.”
The actress concluded, “And the entire team that made this film. Shooting this film tops any other film experience because I got to sing and act – two things I am most passionate about, so thank you.
The film received considerable critical acclaim for its direction, soundtrack and acting performances.
Meanwhile, on the personal front, Parineeti Chopra celebrated her first wedding anniversary with husband Raghav Chadha on September 24, 2024. The couple spent time together at the beach. Leaving a romantic post on the special occasion, Parineeti said, “Raagai – I don’t know what I did in my past life and this life to deserve you.” While wishing her a happy anniversary, he also asked her why they didn’t meet sooner.
