Allu Arjun breaks silence on stampede at Pushpa 2 screening, gives Rs 25 lakh
Actor Allu Arjun finally broke his silence on the Pushpa 2 stampede tragedy in which a 39-year-old woman named Revathi lost her life. The actor donated Rs 25 lakh to the victim’s family as a ‘gesture of goodwill’.
Actor Allu Arjun shared a video on X, expressing his condolences on the tragic incident that took place at Sandhya Theater in Hyderabad during the premiere of Pushpa 2: The Rule on December 4. 39 year old woman named Revathi diedWhile his nine-year-old son Shri Tej is undergoing treatment after being trapped in a stampede-like situation. In the video, Allu Arjun told that he and the entire team of Pushpa will stand in solidarity with the victim’s family.
The video was shared with the caption, “Deeply saddened by the tragic incident at Sandhya Theatre. My heartfelt condolences to the grieving family during this unimaginably difficult time. I want to assure them that they are not alone in this pain and Will meet him.” “While respecting the family’s need for space to grieve in person, I am committed to providing every possible support to help them navigate this challenging journey.”
Allu Arjun starts the video by explaining how he and his team came to know about Revathi’s death. “When we went to watch the premiere of Pushpa at the RTC intersection (in Hyderabad), we never expected to hear such sad news the next day. It was very disappointing to hear that a family was injured, and a woman named Revathi Died due to his injuries. Watching movies in theaters is a sacred ritual, but this incident broke all our hearts.”
Expressing his support he said, “On behalf of the Pushpa team, we express our deepest condolences to the family. We understand that no words or actions can compensate for the loss you have endured. We express our emotional We will definitely stand with you and do everything.” “It is within our power to support you during this difficult time.”
The Pushpa actor then contributed Rs 25 lakh to secure the future of the family. “As a goodwill gesture, I would like to extend financial assistance of Rs 25 lakh to the family. Additionally, we will take care of the medical expenses to ensure that the injured members receive the best possible care. This is our way of showing that We are they for you, especially for the children in the family,” he added.
Allu Arjun also requested his fans to be careful and cautious in the future. He concluded, “My only request to all fans is to be cautious while enjoying our movies. Pushpa 2: Special show for The Rule It was scheduled for 4 December at 9.30 am in selected theaters in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Bengaluru. On December 4, as soon as Allu Arjun reached Sandhya Theater with his family, the crowd went out of control. Revathi went to Sandhya theater with her two sons. Due to overcrowding, Revathi and her son were found unconscious and were taken to the hospital.
Revathi was declared dead on arrival, while Mr Tej, who was in critical condition, was shifted to KIMS hospital in Begumpet.
