Alia shared the reason for marrying Ranbir, recalls her meeting with her father
On ‘Kajol and Twinkle’ with ‘Do more, actor Alia Bhatt opened about why she chose Ranbir Kapoor as her husband. He also recalled how Ranbir’s first meeting with his father, Mahesh Bhatt, was an important step and brought his family blessings.
Actor Alia Bhatt’s ‘Two Mach with Kajol and Twinkle’ came with an insight into his personal life. This included revelations about his relationship with actor-husband Ranbir Kapoor, his dynamics with his daughter Raha and much.
In an episode aired on Thursday, he shared why he married Ranbir Kapoor, co-star of his ‘Brahmastra’. This episode also saw that Alia also reflected how her relationship with Ranbir developed after her daughter, Raha’s birth. The actor further jokingly gave an insight into Ranbir’s protective tendency as the father of his young daughter.
In a conversation with the show host Kajol and Twinkle Khanna, Alia said, “Ranbir and I have a natural friendship. It was never an dew, rose-tinted glasses relationship. Always had a relationship. Like the best friends, I married her because he loves me very much.
Alia also looked back in the early days of her relationship, remembering how her father, Mahesh Bhatt, when they were dating, how to meet Ranbir. This meeting, according to Alia, was an important step and brought her family blessings, which meant a lot for her.
He insisted that it was the real aspects of his relationship that decided him about marrying Ranbir. Their mutual support, playful teasing, and deep friendship are the basis of their partnership, both as a couple and as a parents.
While reflecting her journey to Parenthood, Alia admitted, “It has changed after having a daughter. It is completely different. We are now a unit. It is a unit’s way compared to before.” Their comment shows how their relationship with becoming a parents has become even stronger and united.
The actor injected humor in a conversation when asked about Ranbir’s role as a father. He commented, “I can’t imagine that Ranbir is happening today and the way, he will kill any boy coming to the house.”
Alia and Ranbir got married on 14 April 2022. He welcomed his daughter Raha on November 6, 2022.
