Alia Bhatt, who was last seen in Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani in 2023, shares a close bond with her sister Shaheen Bhatt. Shaheen has been quite vocal about dealing with mental health issues in the past. For those unaware, the author struggled with depression for five years. Recently, Alia Bhatt spoke openly about consoling her sister Shaheen who is suffering from depression. The Alpha actress shared that she wishes her sister Shaheen could talk to her.
During her latest appearance on a chat show, What Women Want, Kareena Kapoor Khan asked Alia Bhatt how she has consoled her sister Shaheen Bhatt in her depression journey.
Alia said that the process of comforting her sister Shaheen has changed over the years. The Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani star shared that in the beginning, she used to ask him out and join her in various activities. However, gradually, the actress realized that her sister Shaheen’s recovery from depression was not a “quick solution”.
The 31-year-old star recalled that her sister Shaheen was clinically diagnosed with depression. He said the symptoms of his diagnosis started appearing at an early age.
“She’s been living with it for a very long time and moving on in life. I have a lot of admiration for the way she does it, but my reaction to her now is that I just want That he should be able to talk to me. I don’t expect him to say anything right away. He just needs to sit next to me and listen to me.”
Talking about the work front, Alia Bhatt will be seen in Yash Raj Films’ production venture Alpha. Directed by Shiv Rawail, it also stars Sharvari in the lead role. Promoted as the first female-led YRF spy universe film, Alpha will release on December 25, 2025.
Alia also has Love and War, which also stars her husband Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal. She has also signed an upcoming love story project.
Alia Bhatt married Ranbir Kapoor on April 14, 2022. The couple has an almost two-year-old daughter, Raha. Kareena is Alia’s sister-in-law.
