Alia Bhatt officially joins the cast of Tumbbad 2; To act with Nawazuddin

Alia Bhatt has confirmed that she is joining Tumbbad Franchise. The actor will star alongside Sohum Shah and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the sequel. Tumbbad 2.
The casting update was shared by Shah on social media. Welcoming Alia, he wrote, “A new chapter has come. Welcome to #Tumbbad2, @AliaBhatt #PralayaAayega.”
With Alia Bhatt joining the cast, another major name has been revealed in the sequel to the 2018 cult fantasy-horror film. Tumbbad. The original film, led by actor-producer Sohum Shah, gained a devoted following over the years and enjoyed new commercial success during its theatrical re-release.

Tumbbad 2 is being produced by Soham Shah in association with Penn Studios under the Soham Shah Films banner with Dr. Jayantilal Gada as the lead producer. The sequel is directed by Aadesh Prasad. The film is scheduled to release in theaters on December 3, 2027.
