Alia Bhatt in Kalki director Nag Ashwin’s next big female-centric film: Report
Actress Alia Bhatt is currently shooting for YRF’s Alpha with Sharvari Wagh, and now she will reportedly team up with Kalki-fame director Nag Ashwin in his female-centric project.
Kalki After the success of 2898 AD, director Nag Ashwin is probably working on a big female-led project. Reportedly the filmmaker is in talks with actor Alia Bhatt for this. a report in midday It was suggested that Alia fits the role perfectly and has agreed to star in another huge pan-Indian film after SS Rajamouli’s RRR.
Although there has been no official confirmation on this, the report quoted a source close to the production as saying that both Ashwin and Alia are excited to team up on this new project. The report adds that though the story is being kept under wraps for now, it is a special role for Alia, who is known for playing strong female characters on screen.
The source said, “Ashwin has crafted a script centered on a powerful female character – a character that demands emotional intensity and depth, which has been tailored for Alia. While the story remains a closely guarded secret “The narrative will tackle themes of personal resilience and empowerment in a unique, contemporary setting.”
The yet-to-be-titled project is being bankrolled by Hyderabad-based production house, Vyjayanthi Films, and is likely to go on floors in the second half of 2025.
Alia is currently shooting for Alpha with Sharwai Wagh. It is YRF’s first female-led film in the powerful espionage universe, which also includes titles like Pathan, War and Ek Tha Tiger. Alia’s entry into the world of Nag Ashwin, who is known for his meticulous details and creative imagination, is definitely a big addition to the actor’s career.
It is also reported that Ashwin has envisioned it as another extraordinary film after Kalki 2898 AD, and Vyjayanthi Films will leave no stone unturned to ensure the best production values.
