He specifically highlighted that Karan Johar’s prominence has not been inherited by him but has been earned through his achievements in the industry.
During a conversation with VOA India, Vasan Bala highlighted Karan Johar’s achievements, pointing out that his stature in the industry was not handed to him. Instead, he created his legacy by delivering some of the most successful films in Indian cinema.
He commented that the significant effort and investment behind making a film reflects the hard-earned reputation of not only the star, but also the producer. That said, Karan didn’t just inherit prominence; He made his way by making major blockbuster films and earning his place.
“Karan ko virisat meriste nahi mili hai (Karan did not inherit it); He has made the biggest blockbusters and has earned this place for himself,” he said. He also discussed Alia Bhatt and praised her for displaying remarkable versatility in different roles and delivering several box office hits. Vasan said his success was the result of a decade of dedication.
