Coolie is a Tamil-language action thriller starring Rajinikanth in the lead role. The story revolves around a person named Devraj alias Dev, a former union leader who has been living in shadow for more than 30 years.
One day, Dev’s close friend Rajasekhar dies under mysterious circumstances. As doubt arises, Dev conducts a crime syndicate from a port, exploiting daily wages workers for their illegal activities.
The film explains how Dev takes the syndicate down and Simon reveals his mysterious previous connection with Xavier.
Along with Rajinikanth as Simon of Deva and Nagarjuna, the film featured Upendra, Shruti Haasan, Saubin Shahir, Satyaraj, Rachita Ram and actors in many more lead roles. Additionally, Aamir Khan also played a cameo appearance.
Rajinikanth’s next film
Rajinikanth is currently working on his next film, Jailor 2. Directed by the upcoming Tamil-language film Nelson Dilipkumar, the jailer (2023) is the sequel. As superstar has reiterated his role as ‘Tiger’ Muthuvel Pandian, Actioner is expected to return with Mohanlal and Shiva Rajkumar.
In addition, Nandamuri Balakrishna is also said to have a special appearance in the film.
