Akhand Box Office Collection: NBK starrer performs surprisingly well on Saturday, earns Rs 60 crore worldwide in 2 days

Telugu film Akhanda 2 performed surprisingly well on its second day, collecting Rs. Around 17 crores at the Indian box office. With this, its two-day total collection is Rs. About 50 crores. Additionally, it has grossed approximately US$1.05 million (Rs 9.50 crore) internationally, taking its total worldwide gross to Rs. About Rs 60 crores.

This catch is surprising considering the film received mixed reviews and this type of film is frontloaded. Keeping this in mind, it was expected that the second day would see a huge drop in business, but the film has done well and registered a decline of almost 50 percent from its opening day. This may seem like a big drop, but for Telugu films, it is definitely par for the course as they are heavily tilted towards the opening day.

The reception was good in the Telugu states, with Nizam remaining the best artist for the film. This is out of the ordinary for an NBK film, as they usually overindex in seeded districts while Nizam is the weak link. Of late, Nizam has started doing better than before, although here it is the IP value that is carrying the film, as the original was quite appreciated. Despite the good take, the film still has a lot of work to do to attract its investors.

The regional box office collection details of Akhanda are as follows:
