Ajit Kumar said for peace after the Pahalgam attack: Let’s not fight among themselves
Actor Ajit Kumar reacted to the Pahgam attack after receiving the Padma Bhushan Award in New Delhi. He called for peace and said that everyone should learn to respect each other, every religion and caste and end their inner quarrels.

Tamil actor Ajit Kumar condemned the initiative terrorist attack on 22 April, claiming at least 26 people, including two foreigners. The ‘good bad ugly’ actor accepted the efforts of the armed forces and urged peace and unity.
He said, “I met many people of the armed forces today (Monday). I want to tell them all that we salute them for their sacrifices. They work very hard so that we are able to sleep peacefully. My heart goes out for them, and I wish them and their families a beautiful life. Let’s not fight at least in India.”
“Let us be a peaceful society,” Ajit Kumar concluded that he batted for unity.
On 22 April, gunmen opened fire on tourists at Besaran Meadow in Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir. One of the most deadly attacks since the 2019 Pulwama strike, it separated several injured from casualties. Prime Minister Narendra Modi condemned the attack and promised a serious punishment.
The resistance front is believed to have been considered an offshoot of the restricted Pakistan-based group Lashkar-e-Tabiba, later claimed responsibility for the attack.
