Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan are one of the most admired couples of Bollywood. They have worked together in many films including the 2003 film Kuch Na Kaho. Its director Rohan Sippy recently recalled working with the actors and mentioned that Aishwarya was already a star while Abhishek had just started his film career.
In a new interview with Friday Talkies. Rohan Sippy shared that Aishwarya and Abhishek were at that point in their careers when they worked together. Starting with Abhishek, he mentioned that Dhoom was relatively new when he joined the cast, but despite this, they shared a good bond.
Rohan shared, “Refugee had just released, and the next film was Bas Itna Sa Khwaab Hai. He was quite fresh at that time and we had a good informal relationship.”
On the other hand, he remembered the paradox of Aishwarya, who was already on her way to success. Sippy described the actress as already a superstar and praised her acting skills.
He said, “Especially now if you look at the whole Hindi film heroine package, there haven’t been many after Aishwarya. The generations after her haven’t done that.”
Rohan told that the Fanney Khan actress was always supportive of him and working with her was a learning experience for him. He admitted that her looks, dancing, acting skills and charm were unmatched.
Highlighting his down-to-earth personality, he said that despite success, Aishwarya listened to him and respected his position as a director. However, given her experience, she could have easily argued or gotten the job done her way, but she didn’t.
“She was very encouraging and supportive, so those things help. It makes you feel good when you’re starting out on your own,” he said.
Apart from Kuch Na Kaho, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan also worked together in Dhai Akshar Prem Ke, Kuch Na Kaho, Dhoom 2, Raavan, Umro Jaan and Guru. The couple dated for a while before tying the knot in a traditional ceremony on April 20, 2007. They have a daughter named Aaradhya Bachchan.
