In short

  • Apple will host WWDC 2025 from 9 to 13 June
  • Apple will mainly focus on announcements around the operative system during the event
  • Along with this, Apple is allegedly planning to announce intelligent facilities for airpods.

Apple will host its Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2025 from 9 to 13 June. While the annual developer conference is traditionally focused on software platforms such as iOS and MACOS, this year, airpods can steal some spotlight. According to a report by 9to5MAC, Apple plans to promote a serious intelligence with new features such as sleep detection and hands-free camera control to its airpods.

The report shows that Apple is testing many new abilities, the aim of how users interact with airpods in everyday landscapes – without the need for new hardware. One of the standout facilities allegedly in development is Sleep Auto-Pose. Many users fall asleep listening to music or podcast with their airpods, but currently rely on manual sleep timer or third-party workaround.

To help these users, Apple is asked to work on automatic sleep detection, which will prevent a user when it is away from a dozen. It is not clear that this feature will function independently or require integration with Apple Watch, which already tracks sleep, but it will definitely be helpful for gold listeners.

Hope to draw attention is another feature camera control through airpods. This long-requested capacity can eventually allow users to snap a picture by tapping a picture of their airpods on their iPhone or iPad-for how old earpods can trigger camera shutters with their inline remote, or how can the user control the iphone camera.

Meanwhile, Apple is also rumored to discover new head gestures for more spontaneous control. Last year, Airpods Pro 2 introduced subtle head movements to call or demolish calls and information. Now, the report states that Apple plans to expand the control of these gestures to manage facilities such as interaction awareness, which automatically reduces the amount of media during conversations. Instead of pressing or swiping the stem, user can shake or tilt your head to re -start playback or tolel mode.

For creators and content professionals, a studio-quality mic mode is also allegedly in the pipeline. This feature takes inspiration from the “audio mix” of the iPhone 16, which uses machine learning to increase vocal clarity and reduce background noise.

Additionally, the report indicates a better airpods for shared iPads on the pairing system, stating that it is designed to make it easier for students to quickly connect their airpods to their airpods without navigating complex Bluetooth settings to the iPads of the school.

While all these features are sound promising, it is important to note that they cannot be announced or not released immediately. Apple often tests features internal or with select beta users before rolling more widely.

Meanwhile, WWDC 2025 is expected to be packed with software updates in iOS 26, Macos 26, iPados 26, and Watchos 26. This incident will be livestroken on Apple’s official website and YouTube at 10:30 PM IST.
