Ahead of the release of Tere Ishq Mein, Dhanush revisited his Raanjhanaa roots in Varanasi, sipping Kulhar Chai and wandering through familiar lanes. The actor shared emotional memories of Kundan while introducing his new character Shankar.

The 42-year-old actor posted glimpses of his serene walk through the streets where he once immersed himself in the world of Rai’s passionate love stories – stories that often find their beats in cities like Varanasi. Dhanush is seen holding hands in a photo tea kulhar (clay cup). In another, he is strolling with Rai on the banks of the Ganges.
In the caption, he recalled a visit to an old house where he shot several scenes years ago. Sharing a series of warm, heartfelt pictures, she wrote: “A walk through memory lane. Where it all began. Kundan. A character who refuses to let go of me even after more than a decade.”
Dhanush further added, “The name Kundan still echoes in the narrow streets of Banaras when people call me – and I still turn and smile. Now, walking through the same streets, sitting in front of the same house, sipping tea from the same tea stall, and standing on the banks of the holy Ganga with the man who gave me Kundan, feels like a full circle.”
