Ahaan Pandey revealed that he had major shoulder surgery soon after the release of his debut film Syara. He said that he kept his troubles private while preparing for his next project with Ali Abbas Zafar.

The actor described that period as one of the most physically demanding periods of his life, even though he was receiving recognition for his performances.

The injury that required surgery was suffered during a snowmobile accident a few years ago, which resulted in a swollen shoulder. The injury affected his ability to maintain the training and physique required for his acting roles. Despite the setback, the 28-year-old was determined to address the issue and decided to undergo surgery soon after the release of his debut film, not letting the injury hinder his progress.
Describing his experience, Pandey said, ‘I actually got the entire surgery done after this the release of soldier Last year. And it’s one of the most painful surgeries you can do, with the longest recovery time.” The actor explained that the procedure was not only painful, but also required a long period of recovery and rehabilitation.
He shared that doctors had warned him about the seriousness of the consequences. According to Pandey, doctors warned him that the procedure would completely reset his physical progress. He was told that his body would be reduced to “zero”, making it extremely difficult to rebuild the strength required for his next film with director Ali Abbas Zafar.
Ahaan Pandey on finding inspiration in other actors
Despite these challenges, Pandey found inspiration in the recovery process. He said, “I felt inspired by actors who had made dramatic changes in the gym. But it was usually from a certain unhealthy body type to a healthy body. This was different; I went from being injured, to not being able to move, to not being able to lift, to being able to lift.”
Recovery took several months, including time spent in a cast and limited activity. Remarkably, very few people outside those close to him noticed the extent of his injuries or the effect the surgery had on his body. “I don’t know how anyone realized!” He said.
