Recently, many Bollywood films have been re-released on the big screen, giving the audience a chance to relive the evergreen stories once again. Well, this time Ram Gopal Varma’s crime film Satya is ready to hit the theaters once again soon. A cinema giant recently announced that the box office hit film will be re-released on PVR Inox on January 17, 2025.
On January 3, 2025, PVR Cinemas and Inox Movies revealed the re-release date of Ram Gopal on their Instagram handles. Verma’s Crime film, Satya. They collaborated on a post and released an attractive poster of the film announcing that it will be releasing in theaters on January 17, 2025.
The caption of the post reads, “The past cannot be buried, and neither can the truth! Get ready to dive into the world of Satya once again in PVR INOX. Re-releasing on 17th January on PVR INOX!”

Soon after the surprise announcement was made, many fans took to the comments section to express their excitement about seeing the film again in theatres. One user wrote, “One of my favorite underworld movies,” while another wrote, “Ab lagai na asli picture… ab dekho bawal.” A third also commented, “Now we’re talking about cinema,” while many said they were eagerly waiting for the film.
Originally released in 1998, Satya starred JD Chakraborty, Urmila Matondkar, Manoj Bajpayee, Saurabh Shukla, Aditya Srivastava and Paresh Rawal. The film was directed and produced by RGV and written by Saurabh Shukla and Anurag Kashyap. The film won praise at several award shows and actor Manoj Bajpayee won the Best Supporting Actor award at the 46th National Film Awards. Apart from the script and the actors’ performances, several tracks from the film also became popular at the time.
Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone starrer rom-com Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani was re-released in theaters on January 3, 2025. Well, the film took a tremendous start and collected around Rs 1.25 crore on its opening day today.
