Actor Dhanush shares an emotional tribute to tennis legend Rafael Nadal after watching the Netflix documentary Rafa, Saying that the documentary has given him a deeper understanding of the challenges that the former world No. 1 player faced during his career.

In a social media post shared on June 8, Dhanush described the documentary as an overwhelming experience and admitted that he regretted criticizing Nadal during difficult moments on the court. Calling the 22-time Grand Slam champion his “goat”, the actor said the film explores the pain, stress and anxiety of Nadal’s journey to the top of the game.

Reflecting on the documentary, Dhanush wrote that he now understands the struggles that Nadal endured while continuing to compete at the highest level. He apologized for moments of shouting at the television when Nadal lost points, sets or matches, saying that he had not fully understood the physical and mental burden on the player.
