After Varanasi, Prithviraj Sukumaran will join Nani’s Bloody Romeo? Here’s what we know

After the big role of Kumbha with Mahesh Babu, Priyanka Chopra in Varanasi, Prithviraj Sukumaran has locked his next big project. While confined to a wheelchair, director SS Rajamouli had previously shared his admiration for the star’s facial acting, and it looks like the 43-year-old has already set his sights on another major appearance. According to 123 Telugu, the actor will be joining Nani in filmmaker Sujeeth’s recently confirmed Bloody Romeo.

Prithviraj Sukumaran plays a big role in Nani’s Bloody Romeo

It is reported that Prithviraj Sukumaran will be joining actor Nani in the upcoming gangster action film Bloody Romeo. The buzz surfaced on February 27, 2026, a few days after the official announcement of the film’s name and filming schedule on social media on the occasion of lead star Nani’s 42nd birthday. As of now, the casting remains only speculation, as nothing has been revealed yet from the production or talent side.

As per the coverage, Prithviraj is in discussion for an important role in the film directed by Sukumaran Sujeeth. He is reportedly ‘being considered for a powerful character’, however, no details have been revealed yet. The Malayalam star’s possible involvement in another big Telugu project has already raised excitement and expectations.

His previous Telugu language productions include Police Police in 2010, followed by Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire in 2023. He is already scheduled to be seen in Varanasi, where he will play the villain in Mahesh Babu’s Rudra and Priyanka Chopra’s Mandakini. His other ongoing projects include the Meghna Gulzar-directed Hindi-language film Daara opposite Kareena Kapoor Khan.

Meanwhile, Nani fans are currently awaiting the release of The Paradise, which was recently postponed to August 21, 2026, from its previous premiere date of March 26.
