After the massive and internet-breaking success of actor Timothée Chalamet’s lookalike contest, a similar contest was recently held in London’s Soho Square. This time people came dressed as music icon Harry Styles. However, unlike Chalamet, Styles did not fail the competition.

But that didn’t dampen the enthusiasm of the contestants, who were eager to showcase their talent for music and fashion, just like the British singing sensation.

The Lookalike award was taken home by 22-year-old Oscar Jarnoux, singer and guitarist of rock band Parle. Oscar is a resident of West London. Winning £50 was bigger than you could imagine as a total of 500 contestants took part.

There was also an award for ‘Worst Harry’, which was won by a man who had a kilo of sugar and a watermelon, a not-so-subtle reference to Styles’ chart-topping song Watermelon Sugar.

Harry Styles became a household name after being chosen by judge Simon Cowell to take part in The X-Factor. He then became a member of the four-member boy band, One Direction.

Styles began his solo career in 2016, and has since become one of the most popular music icons of modern times, thanks to his timeless music as well as his unique fashion sense.
