Although the makers have not announced the official release date yet, reports say that the film is expected to hit the theaters later this July.

The confirmation comes nearly six months after a widely reported censorship dispute between the producer and the CBFC. Earlier, a member of the board had reportedly objected to clearing the film for release due to its exploration of military references as well as communal and religious sentiments.

According to reports, the film has been given an A certificate due to its political message, religious lines and stunt sequences. After a legal dispute, the board reportedly asked for 12 amendments before approving the film. These included scenes showing the national flag falling, a reference to Vijay’s party TVK and some abusive and religious words.

Jan Naygan It also includes actors Mamita Baiju, Pooja Hegde, Prakash Raj, Bobby Deol, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Priyamani and Narayan. The technical team includes composer Anirudh, cinematographer Sathyan Suryan, editor Pradeep E Raghav and production designer V Selvakumar. The film is a remake of the National Award winning Telugu film Bhagwant Kesari (2023), starring Nandamuri Balakrishna and Sreeleela.

With the A certification now confirmed and the necessary changes completed, Vijay’s final film is set for theatrical release soon, even as the makers are awaiting the announcement of an official date.
