After half-baked abuses, Dhurandhar 2 removes more abuses in new print
Dhurandhar 2 has made subtle changes in its theatrical prints following criticism of the partially muted abuses. This decision came after the Censor Board had cleared the film with half-hearted abuses.
creator of Dhurandhar: Revenge More profanities are now muted that were previously only partially muted in theatrical prints of the film. The move comes days after social media users criticized the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) for only partially censoring the language.
A source close to the film Dhurandhar 2 shared with India Today Some profanity has been muted from its current prints. Apart from Sanjay Dutt’s dialogue during the gang war in Lyari, some other characters abusing have been muted in the latest print of the film.

The source said, “While the CBFC has cleared the film, the team had received feedback that it had too many swear words, which made some people feel a little uncomfortable. Keeping in mind and giving their audience the best viewing experience, the filmmakers took the decision. The new print was released a few days ago, but the change is almost negligible.”
Interestingly, even at the time of the film’s release, fans were happy that while some abuses were muted, many remained intact – often the same words. The decision to keep and mute some words remains a matter of curiosity for everyone.
Dhurandhar: RevengeMeanwhile, has been doing great at the box office. The Ranveer Singh starrer has crossed the Rs 1,000 crore benchmark domestically in 18 days, while earning over Rs 1,600 crore worldwide.
The film is written, directed and produced by Aditya Dhara. It also includes Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Rakesh Bedi, Danish Pandor and Sara Arjun.
