Janhvi Kapoor, Ishaan Khatar and Vishal Jethwa starrer Hombound was displayed at the prestigious 78th Cannes Film Festival earlier this month. A few days after Neeraj Ghaywan’s directorial film achieved an important milestone, the film is still making headlines again, but for all wrong reasons. Indeed, independent filmmaker Abhinav Singh has accused homebound cinematographer Pratik Shah of ’emotionally derogatory and excessive manipulating’.

She said that women pay a price when they speak and urge men to use their situation to exclude inappropriate behavior even when they speak and use their “privilege”, “difficult questions”, and even when “uncomfortable”.
“And do it not only for your mothers, daughters, or sisters but also for your friends, your colleagues, your colleagues. People of the industry come in support of Abhinav Singh
On the other hand, the controversy goes a long way as many other filmmakers also jumped to support Abhinav Singh’s allegations.
Filmmaker and writer Sreeshati Riya Jain shared the discussion with the Reddit, where internet users had earlier called Shah’s behavior, described him as someone who slipped into the DM of habitual women and made him uncomfortable.
Srishti reacted her strong reaction, stating, “Everyone is pretending to be surprised, scam and suddenly awakened from his sleep …. The man who worked on one of the year’s ‘most sympathetic’ films of the year, has been on prol for 4 years, according to his interview in Kan.”
He said that the said post is one of the top discoveries on Google, but stated that the industry has “selective meditation period” and when people are acclaimed, they gaze.
In addition, Smriti Kiran, founder and director of Pola Dot Salt Box, also supported the allegations and expected to bring the case to the fore. He also accepted to receive several messages from women with many people who estimate the same name.

According to Pratik Shah’s IMDB page, he is an American cinematographer from Dallas, Texas. He studied at the BFA program in Fine Art Photography at the Cockorine College of Art + Design at Washington, DC, and then went to Los Angeles, to pursue cinematography at the MFA program at UCLA in CA.
His remarkable works include CTRL, Jubilee and most recently acclaimed, homebound.
