Aditya Dhar lauds Sandeep Vanga’s stance on Dhurandhar 2, appreciates his honesty

Filmmaker Aditya Dhar appreciated Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s support for Dhurandhar 2. He also said that he appreciates the Spirit director for his honest approach towards cinema.

Filmmaker Aditya Dhar has reacted to Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s recent post supporting the film Dhurandhar 2: Revenge. Vanga praised the film on social media, while also criticizing some industry voices for what he called selective outrage.

In his reply on X, Dhar praised Vanga’s stance. He wrote, “My dear Sandeep, I really like the way you present your point and respond when needed. There’s real honesty and trust in it, and that’s something I really respect.

Dhar said that he has always noticed how Vanga supports his cinema without any hesitation or noise. “This kind of conviction reminds us all to trust our voices and go after them,” he said.

The director also wished actor Prabhas all the best, calling him a great person. Dhar wishes Vanga all the best for her upcoming film Soul And expressed his support, saying, “If I could do anything, I would really love to help a brother (sic).”

Earlier, Sandeep Reddy Vanga had posted about his criticism on X Dhurandhar 2: Revenge. He wrote, “Writers and actors built their careers on propaganda, and the industry remained silent like cats. Now the same clan makes fun of the bigots. You can’t call yourself a liberal if your first instinct is to make jokes. I don’t know when the truth started being labeled propaganda. Strange times.”

Vanga further addressed Dhar and lead actor Ranveer Singh, saying, “This black eye will not go away like this, a handful of red chillies will not help, the entire field will have to be burnt.” He said he saw the film last night and described it as excellent.

Dhurandhar 2: Revenge It faced a ban in several regions, including the Gulf countries and Pakistan, while it received a wide release elsewhere. The film tells the story of Indian spy Jaskirat Singh Rangi (played by Ranveer Singh), who is on an anti-terrorism mission in Pakistan, with its story inspired by real-life events such as the Kandahar hijacking and the 2008 Mumbai attacks.

The film released in theaters on March 19 and still continues to perform successfully at the domestic and international box office.
