Aditya Dhar apologized for the disruption during the preview of Dhurandhar: The Revenge, as the dubbed versions faced problems. The makers have offered refunds and assured fixes ahead of the March 19 release.

Director Aditya Dhar has apologized after the paid preview. Dhurandhar: Revenge Mass disruptions were faced, with screenings being delayed or canceled in many parts of the country.

The film, starring Ranveer Singh in the lead role, caused an uproar as technical glitches affected the timing of the show, especially its dubbed versions.

Addressing the situation, Dhar acknowledged the inconvenience caused to the visitors and exhibitors. In a public statement shared on X, they wrote, “We are truly sorry for the inconvenience. Your love for this film means the world to us, and we can’t wait to share it with you.”

While most of the Hindi screenings started at 5 pm as scheduled, the Tamil and Telugu versions were extended to 9 pm. The Malayalam and Kannada versions faced further delays and were postponed to the next morning due to “unforeseen technical difficulties” by the producers.

Cinema chains in major centers including Delhi NCR and Mumbai reported operational problems, with many shows either canceled or rescheduled. IMAX bookings were temporarily taken offline, and some theaters were still waiting for digital prints of the film, causing confusion among ticket holders.

According to India Today, officials said that at US Cinema in Greater Noida, the screening was delayed as the theater had not yet received the print of the film.

On the other hand, Mumbai’s popular Gaiety Galaxy theater witnessed crowd gathering due to the delay, with the staff urging the audience to opt for later shows. Meanwhile, in the southern markets, many were disappointed with Tamil and Telugu screenings being canceled at the last minute. Many theaters cited “unavailability” of content, particularly affecting audiences who had pre-booked tickets for the dubbed versions.

To address the situation, the makers gave affected viewers the option of a refund or watching the Hindi version with subtitles. Reiterating his apology, Dhar assured the audience that efforts were underway to streamline the screening.

Dhurandhar: Revenge Has been certified by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) with an A rating. The film’s final runtime is locked at three hours, forty-nine minutes and six seconds.

The film starring Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Sara Arjun and Rakesh Bedi will release in theaters worldwide on March 19.
