Maroon 5 lead singer Adam Levine and actor Jake Gyllenhaal have a wonderful relationship. They became acquainted with each other in their early years. He said he has known Levine since they were “both in diapers.” They went to the same elementary school, and there are a lot of similarities in their lives.
Early years and musical roots
As a teenager, Gyllenhaal saw Adam perform at a small club with his band, Cara’s Flowers, but this was before he became famous with Maroon 5. Their friendship remained strong as they both gained fame over the years.
Gyllenhaal misses the old days. In 2002, while filming Moonlight Mile, Levine left a demo of She Will Be Loved in his trailer; the song later became a hit and one of Gyllenhaal’s favorites.

She Will Be Loved, a track from Maroon 5’s debut album, Songs About Jane, was released as a single on July 27, 2004. The song peaked at number five in the US and received a Grammy nomination. Lasting friendship
During an appearance on The Howard Stern Show in 2015, Gyllenhaal spoke about his good friend Levine. Referring to Levine’s marriage to Behati Prinsloo, he joked, “I never thought this would happen to him, so he convinced me.” He described him as a complete gentleman who is always having fun.
Even today, both men are successful in their work. Adam Levine has extended Maroon 5’s Las Vegas residency until October 2024. Gyllenhaal had a starring role in the action film Road House and also starred in the legal thriller film Presumed Innocent.
Apart from this, he will also be seen in the 2025 action-adventure Into the Grey, starring Dwayne Johnson in the lead role. This friendship that started from childhood has never faded; it has survived both time and fame. This bond between the two stars can be seen in their unbreakable friendship.
