Actress Parvati ‘salutes’ Nayanthara’s open letter to Dhanush, celebs express support
Tamil actor Parvathy Thiruvothu, Dia Mirza, Ekta Kapoor, Shruti Haasan, Nazriya Nazim and other celebs from the film industry thanked Nayanthara for her post against Dhanush on Saturday morning.
Actor Parvathy Thiruvothu extended her support to Nayanthara after she wrote an open letter against Dhanush for sending a legal notice in the Netflix documentary case. The popular Tamil actor used ‘salute’ emoji while tagging Nayanthara and shared his long note on Instagram stories.
The actress, considered the ‘Lady Superstar’ of Tamil cinema, accused Dhanush of deliberately preventing content from her 2015 film Naanum Rowdy Dhaan from being featured in her documentary series, Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairytale. She also alleged that the Ryan actor ‘doesn’t practice what he preaches’ and his actions were based on hatred. Nayanthara also accused Dhanush of having a personal grudge against her and her fellow director Vignesh Shivan.
A part of her viral post read, “It is sad that this decision of yours is only to vent out your personal grudge against us and you deliberately remained indecisive for so long”, adding, “I wish You’d be half the person you portray if you were to be on stage at the audio launch in front of your innocent fans, but clearly, you don’t practice what you preach, at least not to me and my partner. “. The young actor further called Dhanush a ‘tyrant’ and a small-hearted person.
Many celebs liked Nayanthara’s viral post against Dhanush, showing their support towards him in this matter. Many women from the film industry including Ekta Kapoor, Dia Mirza, Shilpa Rao, Shruti Haasan, Sophie Javed, Anupama Parameswaran, Gauri G Kishan, Rhea Shibu, Aishwarya Lakshmi and Nazriya Nazim praised her post.
Neither Dhanush nor anyone else from his team has officially responded to the letter yet.
